Moving to the East Valley
Here's how a move from back home works with us.
You've picked Arizona, or you're close. The harder part is picking the right ten minutes of it from a thousand miles away. That's the part Jacqui and I work on first, before you look at a single house.
Josh or Jacqui replies personally.
What happens, in order.
-
A 30-minute call.
We talk through how you want your days to run, your budget and your timing. By the end, I'd like us to have it down to two or three areas worth your time.
-
Video tours while you're still home.
We walk homes and streets on video, so you can rule things out before you book a flight.
-
A two-day visit, planned.
We line up the areas, the drives at the hours you'd make them, and the homes worth seeing in person.
-
Buying with sale proceeds or cash.
We'll talk through how the timing of your sale back home lines up with an offer here. Your lender and title company confirm the details.
-
Closing before you've moved.
Haven't moved yet? We'll walk you through how signing and closing work from where you are. Your lender and title company set how documents get signed, so we ask them early.
This is a good fit if
- You're moving to Arizona from another state.
- You're selling a home back home, or you already have.
- You're buying with sale proceeds or cash.
- You're looking in Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Tempe or Queen Creek.
- You're planning the move within about the next 18 months.
"At the time we weren't even sure if we'd be moving here, but Jacqui still treated us like high-priority clients."
Frank, Google review. He started talking with Jacqui in 2018, years before he bought.
Not sure which part of the East Valley fits yet? Take the 9-question quiz first.
Before you call.
Do I need to be ready to buy?
No. A lot of the people I talk with are six months to a year and a half out. The earlier we talk, the more of the area question we can settle before you visit.
I haven't sold back home yet. Is that a problem?
No. We'll work with your agent back home on timing. If you don't have one yet, we can refer you to one through the Real Broker network.
I'm also looking at Scottsdale or North Phoenix.
That's common, and it's worth comparing honestly: price per square foot, the drive you'd make every day, and how the summer sun hits the yard all trade off differently. I work the East Valley, so if Scottsdale or North Phoenix turns out to be the better fit, we'll refer you to an agent there through the Real Broker network.
Let's narrow it down.
One call, and you'll leave with two or three areas worth seeing and what to check in each. Rather text first? That works too.
